The cross-linked polyvinylpolypyrrolidone (abbr. PVPP) is a highly active special product for reduction of tannins and sour flavor in wine and must. It is particularily applied to prevent   the off-flavor typically associated with ageing and is best applied for high chromaticity, including pinking.
